As Executive Assistant to the President of Paramount International, I was responsible for organising the VIP Programme for our senior, C-suite staff and their guests- our clients who sponsor the show and are critical partners of the business for the MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMAs). The EMAs were held in a different city each year from 1995 to 2024 and involved producing two live broadcasts, concerts, parties, and hospitality around town for one weekend for about 5000 people.
My VVIP group of 100 quickly expanded to included all VIP groups from the US, Latin America, Europe, Asia and eventually the International press who were covering our event: the most important 1000 people to our business & success.
Bernard and his team adapted without a flinch - whether acquiring large coaches for 100x local press or a certain, specific luxury SUV for our global American president - nothing was too much and everyone was treated with the same care and respect.
Using a local transport company might seems like the best, sensible option, but after working with Relay in Düsseldorf in 2022, I had to bring them to Manchester UK in 2024.
Of course Relay worked with local companies & officials to source vehicles and manage movements , but the Relay team go beyond what simple local knowledge can provide.
Despite my event being in the UK where we are based and speak the local language, I knew there was no one better - in Manchester or the UK - who could match the dedication, professionalism, positive attitude, expertise, and kindness that Relay delivers.
They made the event and our guests' experience better. Our clients felt valued and cared for and it allowed me to concentrate on everything else - ticketing, food, drinks, and hosting because I knew Bernard and his team were taking care of getting 1000 VIPs from Point A to Point B, then Point B to Points C, D, E, and F and then back to Point A!
Logistics is the most complicated and complex part of any event and when that goes wrong, the entire event can look chaotic, unprofessional and stressful for everyone. Using Relay will prevent that from happening.
Their prices are fair & competitive but even if their quote is more than a local team, you will save in the long run with the value Relay brings to your event.

When it came time for payment, I had 30+ groups whose journeys and movements I needed itemised for rebilling.
Bernard and team had perfect records and worked with me to create many versions of invoices to satisfy the CEOs and their finance teams when it came time to pay. Their level of service & care to their clients is unmatched.
In 2025, the MTV EMAs were put on hold because Paramount was being sold, but when they are back I will absolutely use Relay. Whether we are in Spain, Sweden, or Portugal, their ability to deliver a seamless, stress-free event while also being such warm, smart, kind and funny people, is invaluable.
As you can see, I cannot say enough of how great Bernard and his team are.
